Lay Flat Hose is one of the largest economical outlays in the umbilical system. Its storage, transportation and management are the key elements in any umbilical system. Storth have developed a range of hose handling systems designed to facilitate the pumping of slurry from store to field in the most efficient way.
Fully galvanised as standard (including the powder coated side panels), the range offers machines to suit either farmer or contractor, starting with the 400m Farmer Bobbin Reeler up to the 2000m Trailed Reeler. Using a combination of Reelers on the front and back of the tractor enables one tractor to carry up to 3000m of hose.
Available with carrying capacities from 400m through to 1000m, the Farmer Bobbin Reeler (FBR) can be mounted at the front or rear of a tractor, or in combination with a Farmer Twin Spreader Bar. Constructed around a robust 80mm box section frame, the FBR come with a standard female A-frame mounting. Reeler drive comes courtesy of a hydraulic drive motor and heavy duty 1” chain driven. Bobbin Reel dividers are available as an option for those who want to partition off specific hoses.
Heavy Duty (HD) female A-frame with 3-point linkage mounting set the tone for the top of the range Contractor Bobbin Reelers. The cleverly engineered frame design ensures maximum stability and strength for the Bobbin and its heavy duty hydraulic gearbox drive. Carrying capacities of 600–1000m are available with 4”, 5” or 6” hose considered.
Designed to take the hard work out of hose laying and retrieval, Storth Mounted Reelers build on the Bobbin Reelers solid foundations with full machine galvanising and Heavy Duty construction as standard. A powerful hydraulic gearbox drive is at the heart of the machines with cross line relief protection and optional rotary valve control giving maximum efficiency and long maintenance and Heavy Duty construction as standard.
The dual purpose mounting design allows the Mounted Reelers to be used either directly with a tractor 3-point linkage or as part of a piggy-back system using the Heavy Duty male A-frame option.
Rear mounted rotary speed control and working light kit options are available for those seeking to improve machine durability. Extra storage is also available on request via a tool box option.
Ideal for contractors offering long distance slurry handling, Storth Heavy Duty Trailed Reelers are fully galvanised and available in 1000m, 1500m or 2000m spools holding 4” or 5” hose (+5” available on request).
Hydraulic brakes, 550/60x22.5 otation tyres complete with mudguards and LED road lighting ensure you meet road traffic regulations, guaranteeing operator safety and peace of mind.
The mudguard mounted rotary speed control valve enhances operator control during hose retrieval via the twin tension guide rollers. Other standard features include Heavy Duty gearbox drive, tool box and towing drawbar tongue.
